Episode 022 welcomes Painter, Chocolate Lover, and non-Mime Jenna Arvelo (@femme.noire.vll). We sat with Jenna as she told us about her spiritual growth through therapy and her practice as a painter.
Jenna gives some insight into astrology, astronomy, and we share our astrological big-3 round table style. We also get into her spiritual practices, shopping for crystals, and much more. We discuss the backlash against Tennis Star Naomi Osaka and 7-time Olympic Champion Gymnast Simone Biles pulling out of the Olympics as we dive into the bigger topic of mental health, male athletes advocating for mental health, and being ok with not being ok. As we close off the eppy, Jenna sheds her shyness by sharing her own mental health, using therapy as a tool, self-care, and how her paintings are a form of self-medication. We put a bow on this one by naming our favorite items from Trader Joe's because Jenna loves Trader Joe's. "Existing is quite weird."
